Well, I’ve been a little under the weather this week and have been hitting the sack early each night. I’m feeling a lot better today, but I think my blog muse must have fled the scene for awhile to make sure she didn’t catch whatever was ailing me.
So, all of this to say that I don’t have much to amuse you with with which to amuse you. Grammarians, what say you?
It’s National Race Your Mouse Day today. I don’t even know what that means. I’m told it has to do with the mouse that comes with your computer and not the kind that lives in the walls, but what do I know?
Today is also the 45th anniversary of Martin Luther King’s I Have A Dream speech, which I’m sure you’re all aware of since it’s been all over the news today. That and Obama’s stage for his “most dramatic rose ceremony(err, sorry, wrong show) speech ever” tonight. I’m still deciding whether or not I want to stay up that late to watch it. Maybe I’ll have something more to write about on that note tomorrow. And then again, maybe not. I don’t know if I want to bum this blog out with political mumbo-jumbo. Particularly because my mumbo probably doesn’t jive with your jumbo and who really wants to see the result of that mess?
I’d rather talk about mouse holidays.
And look what Leslie designed for me!:
Isn’t she good?! You should hire her to be your designer. You really should. Really.
I’m serious.
Since I have, you know, loads and loads of time that I spend sitting around just twiddling my thumbs, I agreed to organize the craft and bake sale again. Fortunately, I was able to con Leslie into helping me out with the design and look of the event this year and she shares my love of cool and abhorrence of country (as in crafts). I’m so excited to have a poster that won’t appeal solely to 80 year-olds and lovers of mom jeans.
And there you have it: ailments, muses, mouse holidays, MLK Jr., Obama, The Bachelor, graphic design, craft fairs, old ladies and mom jeans all rolled up into one.

Nice sign. Do you have any of your photographs to sell this time? I think you should really think about that since they are so good. Hope you are feeling better.
She did a great job with the poster. Gosh, I’m trying to decide if I have mom jeans or not!
Thanks for the plug friend! I like your candles. Hope you’re feeling better.
